LPBA Summer 2001 Meeting

Summer 2001-Breezy Point, Minnesota
From July 11-15, 2001 100 LPBA members and their guests met at The Breezy Point Resort in north central Minnesota. As our executive director Karen Griggs pointed out, LPBA met at the southern terminus of the Mississippi River to celebrate Mardi Gras 1999 and it made sense for us to journey 1500 miles north (as the river flows) to see where it all begins. We enjoyed our time at the place where the Mississippi starts its journey to the Gulf of Mexico, a beautiful region with thousands of lakes. The following photographs illustrate the great time we had!

Many LPBA members enjoyed the challenge of landing at the Breezy Point airport, the first time in recent memory that our meeting location had its own airport.
Spot Landing and Skeet Shooting contests kept us busy-fortunately they were held in different locations!

Many couldn't resist the opportunity to flight test this C-182 on floats
Afternoons were spent on the idyllic waters of Pelican Lake

Many Thanks to 2000-2001 President Errol Kantor for a great meeting, and a great year!
