JC Buehler practices aviation law, compliance, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He holds a B.A.,Indiana University and J.D., Indiana Univ. McKinney School of Law and is admitted to practice in Indiana. Illinois, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. and as a Registered Civil Mediator.

JC is an adjunct professor of Aviation Law at IU McKinney and was previously an adjunct with the University of Indianapolis (1980-82) and the Indiana Univ. Kelley School of Business as well as an instructor at the Civil Air Patrol Legal Officer/JAG College and numerous seminars.

JC is an active pilot. He holds Airline Transport Pilot and Flight Instructor certificates with B727; B737; B757; B767; IA-JET, CE500, CE525S and CE560XL type ratings. He is a Designated PIlot Examiner with various authorities including CE500, 525/525S, and 560XL type ratings. From 2006 to 2023 he was director of operations for SolutionsAir. He served on the Litigation Committee of the Airlines for America, the ICAO Disruptive Passenger Task Force, Indiana Governor’s Aviation Asset Management Review Committee, and as hearing judge, Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission and judge pro tem in various state courts. He is a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, the Aviation Lawyers Association, National Association of Flight Instructors, the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, AOPA, EAA, and Quiet Birdmen. He chairs the Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame, Inc., and volunteers with the Hamilton COunty Sheriff's Office.
